What to expect from mattress stain removal
What caused the stain
Sweat, blood, drinks and urine each need a different treatment, and older stains that have been washed or treated before are harder to shift. Tell us the cause and age of each mark.
Fabric, filling and moisture
Memory foam, pocket-sprung and pillow-top mattresses react differently to moisture. We check the label and construction first and keep moisture to what the mattress can safely dry from.
Yellowing and old marks
Yellow marks from sweat or age are often set into the fibres. Cleaning can lighten them and remove odour, but we explain beforehand if a full removal is unlikely.
Drying and when you can sleep on it
Drying depends on the mattress, the room and ventilation. Plan an alternative bed for the night if the advised drying time requires it.
